Holy Week & the Start of the Season

Sunday marks the start of cycling’s holy week: Riders contest the Ronde, Ghent-Wevelgem and Paris-Roubaix. What’s on tap? North Sea winds, horrible cobbled roads, mud, crashes, and a so-far-dominant Tom Boonen.

If you’re Belgian, this may be the only week of the season that counts.

Closer to home, the time change brings the start of the local cycling season, which means (finally) being able to ride after work without headlights.
