A typical scene from a weekend of riding in the North Carolina mountains. This was taken at the midpoint of the Jacks Creek Loop, a well-known ride that starts on the outskirts of Burnsville, NC.
This 37 mile loop was today’s ride. Yesterday we opted for more climbing: 36 miles that started at the Celo Inn, climbed up Hwy 80 and the Blue Ridge Parkway to Little Switzerland, then looped back though a valley and back to Celo.
Saturday’s ride was the first in the mountains for some. Below, Kimber tops the first of the climbs on the BRP.
