Last Roaming Ride of the season

A large group showed for the last, and very atypical, Roaming Ride of the season. We scouted an urban loop that we’ll use for night rides starting in November, and since we were out during rush hour we got to contend with plenty of traffic.

I was on the Pinarello for the first time in a while. It showed signs of benign neglect: First, I pulled the wheel out of the rear dropouts while climbing, because I hadn’t bothered to check to see if the QR was tight. Second, it shifted like crap. I suspect the derailleur hanger is slightly bent, or else shifting demons have infected it. I vote for the latter.

Good ride, though. We covered 16.3 miles at a leisurely pace, then went to Rioja to celebrate.
