Daylight’s becoming scarce, so tonight was the last Tuesday Farmers Market ride of the season. Our small group of seven followed the traditional course to Union Cross, then took a short cut that looped us back around to Horneytown Rd. Rather than go the usual way back to Sandy Ridge we exchanged the short, hard hill on that route for the longer, harder climb up Johnson Rd to Sandy Ridge. I felt good, kept the pace high, and took one guy with me. From there we time trialed (in a kinda, sorta way) back to the Farmers Market. Total mileage: 23.
Sunday I surpassed my season’s goal of 3,500 miles. With any luck I’ll crack 4k by the end of the season. I say with any luck because day after tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of my spill.
