Joined the MUSEP ride this afternoon with the intention of going slow, sticking with the main part of the group, and relaxing. Well, you know what they say about good intentions. Heading out of town the group fractured, and since I was with the lead pack I chose to stay there. The pace was never particularly high, though one long uphill stretch into the wind had me feeling puny.
The route, which left from Guilford College, heads west, then north, and goes over a lot of rollers. Nothing too long or steep, but they add up. I felt the 38 miles.
