I wandered into Cycles de Oro today to pick up a door prize for Monday’s Greensboro Velo Club meeting, and stuck around a bit to scope out some new stuff. Highlights:
- A brand, spanking new Lynskey 210R. The build quality is impressive. Particularly for the price.
- An Orbea Diva, with a sold sign on it. Photos don’t adequately convey the complex shapes of the tubes.
- Mavic Wintech HR computer. I’m in the market for a new computer, and the combination of cycling functions and a heart rate monitor — in a single, wireless package — is pretty cool. The ability to add cadence, while not necessary, is a bonus. Best, Mavic has significantly reduced the size of the head unit; it’s much smaller than the original Wintech. And, it still retains the very innovative sender/skewer.
