Today is unseasonably warm, and when six of us rolled away from Paceline Bikes at 9:30, it was difficult to decide whether or not to don the armwarmers. The answer was yes, and they stayed on until the sun popped out with only a few miles to go. We kept splitting up and regrouping, and I ended up with 40.5 miles; that puts me over my goal of 1,500 by 15.5.
Toward the end of the ride, a woman in a compact Chevy flew by screaming at us and honking. 50 feet later, she was caught at a red light. Uh oh. One of our group rode up, leaned into her open window and politely asked, “Do you need help?”
“Uh…no, I’m just frustrated.”
“She’s frustrated,” he repeated to the group.
