This is the second Saturday in a row that I’ve swapped my bike for time on a stationary bike at the health club. It just ain’t the same, I tell you.
Tomorrow’s weather report is promising. Let’s hope for the best.

With enough lights and reflective gear for you to be seen, it’s really not such a big deal. Especially when the day is as warm as yesterday was, some rain can feel pretty refreshing during a hard, fast ride! If you don’t want “fixed” fenders on your racing bike, then use some of the clip-on kind. They’re pretty good, too.
I’m fairly happy to ride in the rain, and have all the right stuff (including clip on fenders!), but lately I haven’t been motivated to do it. Guess I’m going to have to get motivated, and soon, since it looks like the rain is going to hang around.
Understood — I read the other day that just getting to the “starting” line is much harder than getting to the finish line. Bad weather makes it that much harder.
