Exit 43 at Champlain, on the Adirondack Northway (AKA I87), is the last exit before entering Canada. The exit leads to an American duty free shop and this striking sign. Fading brand names on the sign suggest that this used to have something to do with a duty free shop, perhaps the one in the adjacent lot.

Regardless, it’s a curious bit of abandoned Americana.
