The St. Regis Canoe Area is the only designated canoe area in New York state. Little Clear Pond, which is in the area and sits a few miles from Saranac Lake, was an ideal place to test out my new Placid Boatworks Rapidfire. More on this lovely canoe later, but Little Clear Pond is a gem with beautiful views and portage trails that connect it to other lakes and rivers.
